Fernando Parro

Fernando Parro is an Assistant Professor of International Economics at Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies. He performs research on the determinants of the trade and welfare effects of commercial and migration policy, the distributional consequences of international trade, the distribution of economic activity in space, and labor market adjustments to trade and migration.

He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago, a Masters in Economics from the University of Chicago, a Masters in Economics from the Catholic University of Chile, and a B.A. in economics at the Catholic University of Chile. He previously worked for the Federal Reserve Board from 2011-2016 as an Economist and as a Senior Economist.
