Hylke Vandenbussche

Professor of International Economics, University of Leuven and CEPR Research Fellow

Hylke Vandenbussche is a Professor in International Economics in the Economics Department of the University of Leuven (KULeuven). Previously, she was the holder of the Chair Jacquemin at the Université Louvain (UCL) in Belgium where she was affiliated to the CORE research centre. She started her career as an Assistant Professor at Cambridge University in the UK and held Visiting Professorships at Dartmouth College in the US and Leuven. She also held Research Positions in Tilburg, Warwick and the London School of Economics (LSE).

Her research interests lie in international trade, trade policy antidumping measures and firm performance. She makes regular contributions in the top field journal the Journal of International Economics, and in more general oriented journals as the European Economic Review and others. She is a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research, London and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Midwest International Meetings and European Trade Study Group. Occasionally she involves in policy work close to her expertise. She worked for the EU Commission (2014-2015) and contributed to several policy reports.
