Nuno Limão

Associate Professor in the Economics Department, University of Maryland; Research Fellow at CEPR, NBER and Kiel Institute for the World Economy

Nuno Limão, is Associate Professor at the University of Maryland Economics Department and a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research, the National Bureau of Economic Research, and the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. Professor Limão, received his BS.c. from the London School of Economics and his PhD from Columbia University. His primary research and teaching interests are in international trade, trade policy, and political economy.

His research integrates theoretical and empirical work to examine a variety of issues, such as how governments choose among redistribution policies, the determinants of trade policy and trade agreements, the interaction between preferential and multilateral trade liberalisation, the effects of trade costs and geographic location.
