Tristan Reed

Tristan Reed is research director at Crime Lab New York, an UChicago Urban Lab. His current research interests are the political economy of local government, and the design of urban social policy, both in low and high income countries. Previously he worked as a management consultant for McKinsey and Company in Lagos, Nigeria, serving clients across sub-Saharan Africa, focusing primarily on large-scale transformations of public sector organizations. He holds a BA in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a PhD in economics from Harvard University.
