Vera Eichenauer is a PhD candidate at the Alfred-Weber-Institute for Economics at Heidelberg University. Her current research focuses on economic development, the political economy of foreign aid, and public opinion about Chinese economic activities abroad. She is involved in a series of projects studying economic recovery from natural disasters using georeferenced data. She received her Master degree from Sciences Po Paris.
