Wei Xiong

Hugh Leander and Mary Trumbull Adams Professor in Finance and Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics and Bendheim Center for Finance, Princeton University

Wei Xiong is Hugh Leander and Mary Trumbull Adams Professor in Finance and Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics and Bendheim Center for Finance, Princeton University. He has done extensive work on frictions in capital markets and behavioral finance. His current research focuses on financialization of commodity markets, belief-based origin of the recent financial crisis, and China's financial system. He received his B.S. in physics from University of Science and Technology of China and Ph.D. in financial economics from Duke University. He is also a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research.
