Stephie Fried is a senior economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and an affiliate of the CESifo research network. Prior to joining the San Francisco Fed, she served as faculty at ASU and Carleton College. She earned her PhD in economics from UC San Diego in 2015. Her research focuses on the effects of climate change and climate policies on the macroeconomy.  Her publications appear in academic journals, such as American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics and the Review of Economic Studies. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars around the country.
