Adnan Seric

Research and Industrial Policy Officer, United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)

Adnan Seric is a Research and Industrial Policy Officer at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. He is interested in international trade and investment issues in the context of industrial development. He is the lead author of a number of regional and topical UN reports and his research has been featured extensively in academic journals, edited volumes, policy platforms and other media outlets. 

Since joining UNIDO in 2009, he has worked in the Private Sector Development Department, Industrial Clusters Unit of Business, Investment and Technology Department and Policy Research and Statistics Department. Prior to joining UNIDO, he worked as research economist at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on investment policy issues in Central Europe and MENA region. He holds MA and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of St Andrews (UK).
