Aida Caldera

Senior Economist in the Economics Department, OECD

Aida Caldera is a Senior Economist at the Economics Department of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) where she currently leads the work on economic resilience. Previously, she served as Economist for the United States, Mexico and Chile Desks of the OECD’s Economics Department doing country peer reviews of economic policies, macroeconomic analysis and forecasting and worked for the Structural Policy division on cross-country research projects including on housing markets and the drivers of informality.

Prior to joining the OECD, she worked for France’s Central Bank, the European think-tank Bruegel and the European Investment Bank. Before that she worked in the private sector as a financial analyst for the Spanish firm TDA. Aida Caldera obtained her PhD in economics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and her B.S. in quantitative economics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
