Aksel Erbahar

Assistant Professor, Erasmus School of Economics, Erasmus University of Rotterdam

Aksel Erbahar is Assistant Professor at the Erasmus School of Economics of the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. He holds a PhD in International Economics from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), and Master of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE). Prior to his PhD, he worked at the Development Economics Research, Trade and International Integration (DECTI) unit of the World Bank in Washington DC, where he did research in trade policy. His research is on international trade, with particular focus on trade policy, global value chains (GVCs), political economy, and heterogeneous firms
