Alberto Caruso

Senior economist at Centro Studi Confindustria (Economic Research Department, General Confederation of Italian Industry)

Alberto works as a senior economist in the Economic Research Department of Confindustria, the General Confederation of Italian Industry, managing the macro-econometric models for forecasting and scenario analysis. He has been working as a Principal Economist at Now-Casting Economics, London.

His main research interests lies in the field of empirical macroeconomics. In particular, he is doing research on short-term macroeconomic forecasting and on the interactions between macroeconomic news and asset prices.

He holds a PhD from LUISS Guido Carli (supervised by Giuseppe Ragusa) and I he is a PhD Candidate at ECARES, Université libre de Bruxelles (supervised by Domenico Giannone and Philippe Weil).
