Aoife Hanley

Lecturer, University of Kiel

Aoife Hanley is a Professor at the University of Kiel, Germany, since 2008 and is based at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. Before joining Kiel she was on the staff at the University of Nottingham (2003 – 2008). She completed a Ph.D. at the University of Edinburgh Business School. Her research interests are in innovation and industrial organisation focusing particularly on international outsourcing, innovation and firm start-ups. She has published in international journals. She has contributed at several European Commission/OECD joint initiatives on global value chains.
