Cade Massey is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He received his PhD from the University of Chicago, and taught at Duke University and Yale University before moving to Wharton. His expertise is judgment under uncertainty, with a focus on optimism, overconfidence, and learning. His research is based on both laboratory experiments and “real world” behavior, such as the draft picks of professional football teams and the investment decisions of employees holding stock options. He teaches graduate courses in negotiation, power & politics, and organiSational behavior.
