Christopher Adam

Professor of Development Economics, University of Oxford

Christopher Adam is Professor of Development Economics at the Department of International Development at the University of Oxford, UK.

He is a Fellow of the European Development Network (EUDN), co-editor of the Oxford Review of Economic Policy, and an associate editor of the Journal of Development Economics. He is a Visiting Scholar at the International Monetary Fund and has served as an advisor in the UK Department for International Development (DFID).  

His research focuses on the macroeconomics of low-income countries, particularly those of sub-Saharan Africa and covers issues of fiscal, monetary and exchange rate policy; regional integration; public investment, debt, growth and structural change in low-income countries; and the economics and political economy of aid.
