Clemens Bonner

Policy Advisor, De Nederlandsche Bank

Clemens Bonner is a Policy Advisor at the Dutch central bank where he focuses on the policy development and supervision of micro- and macroprudential risks related to capital. He is a member of several international working groups at the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, the European Banking Authority and the Single Supervisory Mechanism. In the past, Clemens has done extensive work in the context of supervising banks' exposure to liquidity and funding risks. Clemens has published several papers analyzing the impact of financial regulation on bank behaviour. Before joining DNB, Clemens has worked for the ECB, the ifo Institute for Economic Research and the ZEW. Clemens holds a B.Sc. from Humboldt University Berlin and a master's degree and PhD from Tilburg University.
