Clément Imbert

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, University of Oxford and Nuffield College

Clément Imbert is Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oxford and Nuffield College. His areas of research are development economics, labour economics and political economy. His current projects focus on seasonal migration in India. His research provides new evidence on the reallocation of workers from rural to urban areas in developing countries and the effect of labour market policies. He has also worked on three large randomised experiments to improve the effectiveness of social programs in India and France with the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL). He was educated at the Paris School of Economics, where he received his Ph.D. in 2012.
