Conor Walsh

PhD candidate, Department of Economics, Yale University

Conor Walsh is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics at Yale University. His main research interests are in macroeconomics, particularly economic growth and firm dynamics. His most recent work looks at how firm creation and entrepreneurship drive city-level growth outcomes throughout the United States. He has also done work using large-scale natural experiments to study the anatomy of the urban wage premium. Prior to starting at Yale, he earned a Bachelor of International Studies with First Class Honors in economics from the University of Sydney.
