Daniel Da Mata

Daniel Da Mata is an Assistant Professor at Sao Paulo School of Economics-FGV. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Cambridge. Mr. Da Mata specialises in public economics, urban economics, and development economics. He was a research economist at the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA) from 2004 to 2018. Mr. Da Mata held several positions at the institute, including Deputy Director of Urban and Regional Studies, Head of Urban Studies, and Head of Quantitative Research Division. His research focuses mainly on public policy evaluation and has been published in several peer-reviewed journals such as The Economic Journal, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Economic Growth and Journal of Urban Economics.
