Daniel Leigh is Deputy Division Chief in the Western Hemisphere Department of the International Monetary Fund, where he covers the United States and Belize. Past IMF positions include Deputy Division Chief at the Research Department, leading teams that produce the World Economic Outlook. His research interests are in international macroeconomics, with a focus on fiscal and monetary policy and forecasting, and he has published in academic journals including AER, Economic Policy, the IMF Economic Review, the Journal of the European Economic Association, and the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Johns Hopkins University, and a M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics.
