David Baqaee

Assistant Professor of Economics, LSE; CEPR Research Affiliate

David Baqaee is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the LSE. He is also a research affiliate of the Center for Economic Policy Research as well as the Center for Macroeconomics. In his research, he studies how the interconnected, detailed production structure of the microeconomy affects the behavior of aggregate macroeconomic variables like GDP, employment, and productivity. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Canterbury, in New Zealand, in 2010 and his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2015. Before starting his graduate studies, he was a research analyst at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.
