David DeRemer

Assistant Professor at the International School of Economics, Kazakh-British Technical University

David DeRemer has been an assistant professor at the International School of Economics in Almaty, Kazakhstan since Fall 2017. David's research fields are international trade, industrial organisation, law and economics, and political economy. David received his Ph.D. degree in Economics from Columbia University in 2012 and his A.M. in Statistics and A.B. in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University in 2003. Previously, David was a Marie Curie Fellow at the Universitré libre de Bruxelles as part of the DISSETTLE (Dispute Settlement in Trade: Training in Law and Economics) network of the European Union's 7th Framework Program; a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Economics in the Hungarian Academy of Sciences; a National Science Foundation IGERT Fellow in International Globalization and Development at Columbia University; and a Research Associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
