David T. Liang is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the Institute of Economic Research, Hitotsubashi University. His current research interests focus on economic growth, macroeconomic measurement, and productivity issues in China. He is currently working as a research assistant on the China Industrial Productivity (CIP) Database project of the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI) in Japan.
