David C. Parsley

E. Bronson Ingram Professor in Economics and Finance, Vanderbilt University

David Parsely is the E. Bronson Ingram Professor in Economics and Finance at the Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University.

He joined the Owen School in 1990 after completing a Ph.D. at University of California (Berkeley). His previous degrees are from Indiana University, (MA) and the University of Kentucky (BS). He has held short-term appointments with the International Monetary Fund, Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, the Bank of France, the Bank of Japan, the Hong Kong Institute for Monetary Research, and the Reserve Bank of South Africa. He has also worked in economic expert witness consulting and for the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. 

His research interests are in the fields of international finance, international corporate finance, and macroeconomics. More specifically, the economics of exchange rates, goods and capital markets integration, central Bank behavior, and international price parity are the core of my research.
