David Sraer

David Sraer is an associate professor of economics and finance at UC Berkeley. He holds the James J. and Marianne B. Lowrey Chair in Business at the Haas School of Business, where he chairs the finance unit. He currently serves as a finance department editor for Management Science and as an associate editor for the Journal of Finance. Sraer is a research associate at the NBER and a research affiliate at the CEPR. He is also a member of the Council of Economic Analysis of the French Prime Minister (CAE) since 2021. David holds a Bachelor of Science from Ecole Polytechnique in France, and received his Ph.D. in economics from the Toulouse School of Economics.
