Dayanand Arora

Professor for International Finance and Accounting, University of Applied Sciences, Berlin

Dr. Dayanand Arora is Professor for International Finance and Accounting at the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (University of Applied Sciences), Berlin since December 2000. Between October 2009 and March 2010, he was visiting fellow at ICRIER, New Delhi. His current research interests are in the area of international finance, financial markets and institutions and capital account liberalization.

After completing his Ph.D. from J. W. Goethe-University, Frankfurt on Japanese financial markets in Europe, Dr. Arora worked for seven years as a project controller at a German multinational in Colone and later as a Coordinator for global business planning for an automotive sub-supplier in Germany. He has diverse teaching experience in various cultural settings and has lectured at the Junior College of Commerce in Addis Ababa, Schiller International University, Heidelberg, Hochschule-Bremen and Fachhochschule Furtwangen, Baden Württemburg. He was also a Visiting Scholar at the Foundation for Advanced Information and Research (FAIR), in Tokyo.
