Eduard Hochreiter

Director of the Joint Vienna Institute

Eduard Hochreiter is Director of the Joint Vienna Institute (JVI) in Vienna. JVI provides training to officials and managers from countries in central, eastern and southeastern Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Asia that have made or are making the transition from centrally planned to full market-based economies. He was formerly Senior Adviser and Head of the Economic Studies Division of the Austrian National Bank, and coeditor of Private Capital Flows to Emerging Markets After the Mexican Crisis (1996) with Guillermo Calvo and Morris Goldstein, and Reviving the European Union (1994) with C. Randall Henning, and Gary Clyde Hufbauer.
