Fabrizio Zampolli

Acting Head of Macroeconomic Analysis, Bank for International Settlements

Fabrizio Zampolli is currently the acting Head of Macroeconomic Analysis at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). He joined the BIS in the spring of 2009. He worked in its Macroeconomic Analysis unit in Basel and subsequently in the Representative Office for Asia and the Pacific in Honk Kong SAR. Before joining the BIS, Fabrizio was an Economist in the Monetary Assessment and Strategy Division and a Policy Adviser in the External Monetary Policy Committee Unit of the Bank of England. He also worked in the External Development Division and the Monetary Policy Strategy Division of the ECB. Fabrizio holds a PhD from the University of Warwick and a Laurea in Economia e Commercio from the Catholic University of Milan.
