Francesca Marchetta

Assistant Professor at CERDI, University of Auvergne

Francesca Marchetta is Assistant Professor at CERDI, University of Auvergne. She got a PhD in Development Economics from the University of Florence in 2008, and she held post-doc positions at the European University Institute and at CERDI. Her research interests include economic migration, the relationships between migration and development, the role of small and medium enterprises in the economic development, households’ livelihood strategies and transition to adulthood of young women in Africa. She has published in World Development, the Middle East Development Journal and the Canadian Journal of Development Studies.
