Fritzi Koehler-Geib

Economist in the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management group in the Latin America Department of the World Bank

Friederike (Fritzi) Koehler-Geib, is an Economist in the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management (PREM) group in the Latin America Department of the World Bank in Washington, DC. Her prior work experience includes the Economic Policy and Debt Department of the PREM network of the World Bank, the Monetary and Capital Markets Department (MCM) and the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund.

Her research interests fall in the area of international finance and international macroeconomics. She has written articles on sudden stops of capital flows, contagion of financial crises, economic growth, and asset management. She holds a PhD in Economics from Ludwig Maximilians University (Munich) with extended research stays at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona) and two master’s degrees from the University of St. Gallen, HEC Paris, and University of Michigan.
