Gábor Békés

Assistant Professor at Central European University in Budapest, Research Fellow at Institute of Economics in Hungary and CEPR

I am an Assitant Professor at the Central European University and a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Economics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. I received his Ph.D. degree in 2007 from the Central European University, and an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics. My research is focused on international economics, economic geography and applied IO, with work publsihed for example in Regional Science and Urban EconomicsJournal of International Economics or Economic Policy. I teach urban economics and data analysis and previously worked on several EU funded research projects such as EFIGE. Currently I am working on a data analysis textbook.
