Gaurav Chiplunkar

Gaurav Chiplunkar is an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia. His research examines how barriers and frictions in the labor market impact production decisions of a firm, as well as affect job search, retention and employment outcomes of workers, particularly women. He also studies the role of socio-political institutions in affecting these barriers, and how policy reforms and new technologies may help mitigate them. Gaurav received his B.A. (Hons) in Economics from Delhi University, M.Sc. Economics from the London School of Economics, M.Phil Economic Research from University of Cambridge, and Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University.
