Giorgio Barba Navaretti

Professor of Economics at the University of Milan and Scientific Director of the Centro Studi Luca d’Agliano

Giorgio Barba Navaretti is Professor of Economics at the University of Milan, Distinguished Visiting Faculty at Sciences Po, Paris. He is also Scientific Director of the Centro Studi Luca d’Agliano an Vice President of Collegio Carlo Alberto. He has a PhD in Economics from Oxford University and a bachelor in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan. He is or has been a consultant for several international institutions, like the World Bank, the European Commission and the European Central Bank.  He is specialised in international and development economics. He has published extensively in international academic journals and books with the main academic presses. He is the coauthor of Multinationals in the World Economy with Anthony J.Venables (Princeton University Press 2004).  He is a columnist for  Il Sole 24 Ore and the editor in chief of European Economy.
