Giovanni Facchini

Professor of Economics, University of Nottingham and University of Milan and CEPR Research Fellow.

Giovanni Facchini is a Professor of Economics at the University of Nottingham and at the University of Milan, having taught previously at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the University of Essex, the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and Stanford. His research focuses on international trade and factor mobility. He has published in journals such as the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, the American Economic Journal: Microeconomics, Economic Journal, Economic Policy, Journal of the European Economic Association, the Journal of International Economics, the Journal of Public Economics  and the Review of Economics and Statistics, among others.

Giovanni is a CEPR Research Fellow, a Fellow of CES-Ifo and IZA, and a Faculty Affiliate at the Institute for Government and Public Affairs at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign. He is the Director of the Nottingham Centre for Globalisation and Economic Policy (GEP). He obtained a PhD in Economics from Stanford University in 2001.
