Giovanni Mastrobuoni

Professor of Economics, University of Essex

Giovanni Mastrobuoni is Professor of Economics at the University of Essex and IZA Research Fellow. He obtained a PhD in Economics from Princeton University in 2006. His research focuses on public economics, labour economics, and on the economics of crime. He has recently been awarded the 2016 AEJ Best Paper award for his paper "Legal Status and the Criminal Activity of Immigrants" (joint with Paolo Pinotti). In 2011 he received the "Albert Rees Prize" for his Ph.D. dissertation in labour economics from the University of Princeton.
