Graziella Bertocchi

Graziella Bertocchi is Professor of Economics at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. She is Director of RECent (Center for Economic Research) and Research Fellow of CEPR, CHILD, DGI and IZA. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and has been an Assistant Professor at Brown University. She has held visiting positions at the University of Oslo, European University Institute, New York University, the Catholic University of Louvain and IGIER-Bocconi. Bertocchi's recent research has focused on macroeconomics, political economy and the interaction between economic growth and institutions in a historical perspective. She has written contributions on the legacies of slavery, the determinants of gender gaps, migration and citizenship policies, and estate taxation.
