Hiro Kasahara

Professor, Vancouver School of Economics, University of British Columbia

Hiro Kasahara is Professor at Vancouver School of Economics, University of British Columbia, Canada. His main research areas are econometrics and international trade. In econometrics, his research interests include estimation of structural models and nonparametric identification and estimation of finite mixture models. At UBC, he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in econometrics. He has published in Econometrica, JASA, JRRS-B, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of International Economics, Journal of Development Economics, as well as in other scientific journals. He is originally from Japan, and he obtained my Ph.D. from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
