Hisamitsu Saito

Associate Professor, Graduate School of Economics and Business Administration, Hokkaido University

Hisamitsu Saito is an associate professor at the Graduate School of Economics and Business Administration, Hokkaido University. Prior to his current position, he was an assistant professor at the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, Kyushu University (2010-2014) and a research associate at Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine (2008-2010). He received his Ph.D. from Oregon State University in 2008.

His research interests include urban and regional economics and international trade. He has published several articles in academic journals, including Canadian Journal of Economics, Journal of Economic Geography, and World Development.
