Hasin Yousaf

Hasin Yousaf is a Lecturer in the School of Economics Department at the University of New South Wales. He received his PhD in Economics from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. His main areas of research are Political Economy and Public Economics, with additional interests in Development Economics. In his current research, he studies a range of topics in these fields including: (i) impact of issue salient events on political preferences; (ii) role of state capacity in competition between the state and violent organizations; (iii) how the rise of right-wing populist leaders contributes to radicalization of xenophobes.
