James Andreoni

James Andreoni is a Professor of Economics at the University of California, San Diego. He has published widely on the topics of behavioral and experimental economics, game theory, public economics, and law and economics. His primary research has explored altruistic behavior, from interpersonal sharing to charitable giving, and the various causes and consequences of moral behavior. Recently he has also engaged in research on risky decision making, on neuroeconomics of both risk and altruism, and on the economics of happiness.
