James Walsh

James P. Walsh (Asia Pacfic Department, IMF) has a PhD from the University of Chicago and has been at the IMF since 2001. At the Fund, he has worked on a range of policy issues, including the 2005 Review of IMF Conditionality Guidelines and financial regulatory reform after the global financial crisis, while his research has focused on international capital flows and risk in emerging market banking sectors. His country work has included Romania, Chile, Argentina and now India.
