James Stock

Harvard University

James Stock is Professor of Political Economy at Harvard University. His research focuses on empirical macroeconomics, monetary policy, econometric methods and energy and climate policies. He is co-editor of the Brookings Papers on Economic Activity and served as a member of President Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers from 2013 to 2014.

He received a M.S. in statistics and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
