Jean Pisani-Ferry

Jean Pisani-Ferry is Mercator Senior Fellow at Bruegel and Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa chair at the EUI in Florence, as well as professor of economics with the Hertie School in Berlin and Sciences Po in Paris. From 2005 to 2013 he was the founding director of Bruegel and from 2013 to early 2017 commissioner-general of France Stratégie, a policy planning institution reporting to the French prime minister. In early 2017 he resigned from this position to join Emmanuel Macron's presidential campaign as its director for programme and ideas.  His research focuses on economic policy, European integration, and financial crises.
