Jennifer Smith is Associate Professor of Economics at Warwick University. Her primary expertise is in labour and macroeconomics. The main focus of her current research is immigration, productivity and the labour market. Her research interests also include labour market dynamics, unemployment, wage setting, nominal wage rigidity, and the impact of wages and wage changes on the macroeconomy and welfare. Previously she has held posts at the Bank of England and has taught at the University of Cambridge and Queen's University, Canada. She gained her PhD in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
