Jian Wang

Postdoctoral Fellow, KU Leuven

Jian Wang is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Management, Strategy and Innovation and the Center for R&D Monitoring, KU Leuven (Belgium). His postdoctoral research is funded by the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO). He is specialised in economics of science and innovation, and his recent research focuses on: novelty in science and technology, its relationship with funding schemes, team characteristics, and network structure, and the translation of science into innovation. His work appears in journals such as Science and Research Policy. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Public Policy and a M.S. degree in Statistics, both from Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), and a M.A. degree in Applied Economics and a B.A. degree in Journalism, both from Tsinghua University (China). He currently serves on the editorial board of Research Evaluation.
