James Reade

Lecturer in the Department of Economics, University of Reading

J. James Reade is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Reading. He gained his D.Phil in Economics from the University of Oxford in 2007, and between 2009 and 2013 was a Lecturer at the University of Birmingham. His current research mixes theoretical and applied econometrics. He is interested in the impact of modelling strategy on the outcomes of empirical work and has applied this work empirically in fields as diverse as behavioural finance, monetary economics and sports economics. Most recently he has been working on the economics of social media.
