John Bluedorn

Senior Economist, European Department, IMF

John C. Bluedorn is a Senior Economist in the European Department at the International Monetary Fund, working on the euro area. Previously, he worked on the World Economic Outlook in the IMF's Research Department. Prior to joining the IMF, he was a post-doctoral British Academy Research Fellow at the University of Oxford and then a Lecturer in Economics at the University of Southampton. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley. His research interests lie in macroeconomics and international finance, banking and the financial sector, and development. He has publications in the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Journal of International Money and Finance, and Economics Letters, among others.
