Josef Korte

Researcher in Economics and Finance, Goethe University, Frankfurt

Josef Korte is a Researcher in Economics and Finance at the House of Finance of the Goethe University in Frankfurt. His research focuses on financial regulation, bank and sovereign risk, and its economic implications. Josef received his doctorate degree in Economics from the Goethe University Frankfurt in 2014. He was awarded the Lamfalussy Fellowship from the European Central Bank in 2013. During his PhD studies, he also visited the Risk Management Institute of the National University of Singapore and the Collaborative Research Center 649 "Economic Risk" in Berlin.

Josef holds an MPA in Economic Policy from the London School of Economics and undergraduate degrees in Economics from Muenster University and in Public Administration from Twente University in Enschede. Prior to starting his doctoral research, Josef worked as a Fellow Senior Associate with McKinsey & Company, focusing on financial institutions and topics related to economic development.
