Juan Pablo Cuesta

Juan Pablo Cuesta is a Research Assistant of the Mexico Country Desk in the International Monetary Fund. He previously worked as a consultant in the Governance Global Practice of the World Bank and also in the Institutional Capacity of the State division of the Inter-American Development Bank. His research involves analyzing fiscal issues such as government expenditure performance, as well as the impact of social programs on reducing poverty and boosting growth in developing countries. He received his B.A. in Economics from Universidad Santa Maria in Ecuador, and his Master’s in Public Administration from Syracuse University.
