Karen Pittel is Professor of Economics at the University of Munich and Director of the Center for Energy, Climate and Resources at the ifo Institute. Her research interests are in primarily in energy and climate economics with a focus on the transformation of energy systems and the long-term effectiveness and efficiency of climate and energy policies.
