Marc Auboin

Counsellor in the Economic Research and Statistics Division, WTO

Marc Auboin is a Counsellor in the Economic Research and Statistics Division of the WTO, responsible for the institution's trade and finance agenda, including trade finance, and for WTO relations with the IMF and World Bank. Previously he held several positions at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), was Deputy-Secretary General of the Monetary Committee of the European Union, worked for the French Treasury.

Mr. Auboin holds a PhD in Economics from Sciences-Po Paris, and was a Research Fellow at the London School of Economics and Yale University. He lectures or used to lectures at the Universities of Paris-Sorbonne, Sciences-po Paris, Louvain-la-Neuve, CERDI, WTI in Berne. He published pieces of research on trade and finance issues in the IMF's World Economic Outlook, WTO Discussion and Working Paper Series, as well as in academic books and articles.
